Our world is not devoid of millions of applications built on the foundations of optics and laser science, which are included in the fields of daily life and even the most advanced sciences. In this world, we find the science behind the generation of light waves and photons, their control, and the mechanisms for detecting them. The Optics, Lasers, and Photonics (OLP) group works on the applications of these sciences, which have become a point of interest to the entire world. The work of the OLP Group revolves around understanding and knowing the scientific theories about these sciences, as well as working to develop various applications of these sciences, such as optical communications sciences, information processing, optical computing, spectroscopy, holography, medical applications, agriculture, and robotics. etc.
The OLP group is also working to achieve some short- and long-term goals, which can be summarized as follows:
