Organized by the Arab Physical Society (ArPS) in collaboration with Zewail City of Science and Technology, the second ArPS Summer School on advanced physics aims to provide students with a week-long opportunity, from August 25 to 29, 2024, to deepen their understanding of physics and explore cutting-edge research topics. We expect a diverse group of participants, including recent Physics Bachelor graduates, graduate students, postdoctoral researchers, and early-career scientists passionate about advanced physics. The program will be conducted in both English and Arabic languages. Successful participants will receive credit certificates as recognition of their achievements. The venue for the summer school is Zewail City campus. To ensure commitment, a symbolic registration fee of 1000 EGP for Egyptian participants ( ArPS members 750 EGP) and 150 USD for non-Egyptian participants (ArPS members 100 USD) is required. This fee will partially cover coffee breaks and the hosting of school lecturers.
The program is intended for undergraduate and graduate students who have completed introductory physics courses and are interested in pursuing advanced topics in physics. The school schedule will consist of the following series of courses on advanced physics and a series of research seminars: |
