Prof. A.M. Shalaby graduated from North Carolina State University, USA, in 2004 with a PhD in high energy Physics with Minor in Mathematics. He has a Master Degree in High Energy Physics from Mansoura University, Egypt too. For like six academic years, he held positions of assistant professor and associate professor at various universities in both Egypt, Saudi Arabia and Qatar, where he is currently a full professor in Math, Statistics, and Physics Department at the college of Arts and Sciences. Dr. Shalaby was a teaching assistant at North Carolina State University for more than three years.


Prof. A.M. Shalaby has published about 37 articles where many of these articles have been published in outstanding and highly ranked journals. Concerning this, he has a rapid communication in Physical Review D for the discovery of a possible new matter phase. Recently, he introduced the hypergeometric-Meijer approximation algorithm which is expected to be the preferred approximation algorithm in different branches of physics. The research interest covers different areas of quantum mechanics and quantum field theory.


Dr. Abouzeid Shalaby has been awarded the Qatar University Research Award in 2011, the National Award of Egypt in Physical Sciences for the year 2008 and the award of Distinguished University Research Paper from Qassim University, KSA for the same year, the Amen’s Lutfy Award ( an Egyptian national award too) and Misr El-Kheir (MEK) Publications Award in 2010.
Prof. A. M. Shalaby was the Lead PI of QNRF project “NPRP 5 - 261 - 1 – 054” where he completed it successfully after publishing six papers in prestigious journals in the field and two more articles are in progress. In addition, He was the Lead PI of a Project from KACST, Saudi Arabia in 2010.
